Turning Point of the Radio
The radio soon became a huge turning point in history during World War I and II which was when there was a need for
communication.During World War I and II they had a greater need for communication because of this the radio became a popular new
way of communication. People from this time also needed an escape from these troubled times and they would listen to the radio for
entertainment that included comedy, music, and a variety of shows. Also, the radio made communication between troops and officials
easier and it was easier to send commands to the troops according to Carole Scott the author of “History of the Radio Industry.” During
these times, radio became a necessity to communicate military commands and sending help to the towns in need. These turning points
were significant in the history of the radio and wireless communication.
