Introduction
Approximately 174,034,091 of people 12 years and older in the United States and Puerto Rica listen to the radio everyday (Radio
Advertising Bureau). The development of the radio has majorly impacted society because it has made it possible for long distance
communication to go farther, quicker, and has entertained people with sports, music, and broadcasts for generations. With this
technology, people were able to communicate from a distance that nobody thought would ever be possible. The invention of the
radio was a turning point in history because it lead to many advancements in wireless communication, mass communication
businesses, and lastly, broadcasting and leisure entertainment.
